A look back at the Battle of the Bastogne from 1944, a decisive military operation where the 101st Airborne Division was able to withstand being surrounded by Nazi forces and hold the city of Bastogne. Current Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) visited Bastogne for the 80th anniversary of the battle and received a history lesson and battlefield tour, parts of which are presented here with historical footage.
