The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) hosts a boot ceremony with 7,493 boots placed on the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Headquarters Building's front lawn, as part of Week of the Eagles 2024, May 17, 2024 at Ft. Campbell, KY. Each boot represents a service member lost since September 11, 2001. First held in 1974, Week of the Eagles honors the legacy and heritage of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and involves both Veterans and current Soldiers of the Division taking part in ceremonies, Soldier competitions and sporting events.
