Angoville au Plain Memorial Ceremony
101st Airborne Division (Air Assault)
June 8, 2023 | 0:49
U.S. Army Spc. Jenna Tranberg, assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), speaks about her experiences from the Angoville au Plain Memorial Ceremony on June 4, 2023, in Angoville au Plain, France. Robert E. Wright and Kenneth J. Moore treated over 80 patients including allies and enemies at the Church of Saint Come and Saint Damien during the battle of Angoville au Plain on June 6, 1944. They maintained the aid station throughout the battle and only departed the church when Angoville au Plain was liberated. They both were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). (U.S. Army video by Staff Sgt. Malcolm Cohens-Ashley.)
