Staff Sgt. Robert J. Miller was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously, January 25, 2008 by President Barack Obama for his heroic actions in combat. As a part of the redesignation of Fort Liberty, R. Miller Street formally Randolph Street has been redesignated in Staff Sgt. Miller's honor.
