40th Public Affairs Detachment
June 30, 2017 | 1:26
Medical Soldiers from across the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), participated in the Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB), rite of passage recently. Upon successfully demonstrating their knowledge of lifesaving techniques and physical abilities, these Soldiers will be awarded the EFMB.
This badge is the non-combat equivalent of the Combat Medical Badge (CMB) and is awarded to U.S. military personnel and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) military personnel, who successfully complete a set of qualification tests including both written and performance portions.
The EFMB is one of the most difficult and prestigious U.S. Army special skill badges Soldiers can earn.
