Presentation of the Bronze Star to Mr. Seymour S. Lavine a WWII veteran. Mr. Seymour Lavine, a 98 year old WWII veteran, was mistakenly not award a Bronze Star Medal during his service in the Pacific Theater on 9 January 1945. The ceremony was conducted to express pride for Mr. Lavine for having served his country during a time of war. Even at this late date the Army still recognizes and awards its veterans. Presentation was given by the United States Army Forces Command General James D. Thurman.
