The 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division enjoys fair competition and camaraderie with various sports and events during “Spartan Week.”

1st Battalion, 30th Infantry (1-30th “Battle Boars”) claimed the winning spot while 3rd Squadron, 7th U.S. Cavalry (3-7 CAV “Garryowen”) came in second and 2-3 Brigade Special Troops Battalion (2-3 BSTB “Titans”) took third place.

In addition to winning various events, factors such as family participation and scores for a barbecue cook-off also helped 1-30th Infantry win the honor as the ultimate Spartan battalion for 2014.
