1st Armored Division celebrated the work of Command Sgt. Maj. Robert Cobb as he relinquished responsibility of the 1AD to Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Williams July 16, 2020 at Fort Bliss, Texas. Maj. Gen. Patrick Matlock, commanding general, 1AD, spoke highly of Cobb's professionalism and dedication to the Soldiers of the 1AD and welcomed Williams to the team. Cobb described the incredible work Soldiers of the 1AD had completed during his two year tenure as the division's senior enlisted leader in his farewell speech and passed advice to Williams, who briefly stated his pride at being selected for the position and eagerness to continue 1AD's historic legacy. Cobb departs 1AD to assume responsibility as the senior enlisted advisor to the commanding general of Eighth U.S. Army, Republic of Korea. (US Army video by Staff Sgt. Nicholas Brown-Bell)
