3rd Infantry Division prepares for DEFENDER-Europe 20

Soldiers assigned to 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, conducted convoy movements and began port operations at The Port of Savannah in Savannah, Ga., Feb. 7, 2020. This movement of equipment is in preparation for the DEFENDER-Europe 20 exercise which takes place in multiple European countries. 3ID will move approximately 200 military vehicles including HMMWVs, LMTVs, M1A1 Abrams Tanks and more. DEFENDER-Europe 20 will train the joint, interagency and multinational force and help the U.S. and NATO allies and partners conduct interoperability missions across the continent.
