Alaska is a great place for winter training and activities. Despite the cold winters Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER), Alaska offers a variety of out door sports and activities that keep soldiers physically fit and mentally tough during the winter months. On February 17th 2011 J.B.E.R. held an "Arctic Skills" Competition which vied soldiers against one another with a 3K cross country ski and 3K snow shoe race.Also available in high definition.
