Agile Spirit 2019 Aeromedical Evacuation Training

Multinational forces conduct Aeromedical Evacuation Training at Alekseevka military airport in Tbilisi, Georgia during Agile Spirit 2019.

Service members assigned to 146th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, California Air National Guard, provided the training to military officers of the Georgian Defense Forces, Aviation and Air Defense Command.

The week long training concluded with in-flight medical demonstrations aboard a C-130 aircraft where participants had to contend with medical emergencies, aircraft movement, altitude and other variables. The aircraft and flight crew supporting the training came from the 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard.

This year Georgia National Guard State Partnership Program with the country of Georgia will celebrate its 25th anniversary and their enduring relationship. The U.S. National Guard’s State Partnership Program has promoted access, enhanced military capabilities, improved interoperability and mutually beneficial security relationships with allies and part nations since 1993.
