U.S. Army Capt. Christopher M. Dixon, battery commander with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, was awarded the Edmund L. Gruber Award on June 21, 2019. Gruber Award is the only one of its kind in that it’s given to one Field Artillery Soldier Army wide, every year.
