Soldiers Train in Realistic Combat Environment
40th Public Affairs Detachment
Oct. 2, 2014 | 1:05
More than 7,000 soldiers conduct training at the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, La., during the month of September. The soldiers are participating in a recent change to the Army's combat training plan. The new training called Decisive Action Training Environment, also known as Date, provides leaders a comprehensive approach to training in a joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational environment, that enhances unit readiness and leaders confidence in their ability to operate in complex environments.
