Task Force Marne Soldiers compete in NATO Boxing Event

U.S. Army Spc. Timothy Gilbert and Spc. Christian Anzures, both infantrymen assigned to 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment “Leader Rakkasans”, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), supporting 3rd Infantry Division, compete in a NATO boxing event organized by the Forward Land Forces (Estonia) at Rakvere Sports Stadium, Estonia, March 2, 2024. The boxing event consisted of fighters representing Estonia, France, the United Kingdom and the United States, with three two-minute rounds and one one-minute rest period between each round. Competition events are a test of grit and toughness, foster readiness and esprit de corps, and are a fundamental part of NATO’s success for interoperability. The 3rd Infantry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
