July 29, 2020 | 4:03
Sgt. Thomas D. Young served in Vietnam with A Troop, 2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). He flew 36 missions as a UH-1 Huey crew chief, prior to being killed in action during a reconnaissance mission on December 15, 1970.
On Tuesday, July 14, 2020, almost 50 years later, a bridge dedication and honor flight was conducted for Sgt. Young and his family. Active and retired Screaming Eagles came together to honor Sgt. Young on this special day.
