1st Lt. McCauley is a soldier who works in 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Division, of the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat team. His hometown is Newport, North Carolina, where he attended Croatan High School. 1LT McCauley has a great uncle, Carl McCauley, who is buried in Normandy at the American cemetery. He was involved in the D-Day landings with the 12th infantry regiment of 4th ID and died on the 10th of June, 1944, at the age of 19.
