Short package of SSG Ty Carter speaking at a press conference about his recent selection to receive the Medal of Honor for his valorous actions at Combat Outpost Keating on Oct. 3, 2009. Carter will receive the award from President Obama on August 26th. He will be the fifth living recipient of the Medal of Honor for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is currently assigned to the 7th Infantry Division.
