Cavalry scouts, assigned to the 6th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, conduct training on Fort Bliss, Texas, in preparation for the upcoming Gainey Cup competition held at Fort Benning, Ga., April 17, 2023. The Gainey Cup is a multi-day competition designed to challenge a scout’s physical and mental ability to conduct reconnaissance and security operations.
